ALTERATIONS

When coming for fittings, please remember:

• Plan for your first fitting to last one hour. Your seamstress will pin your gown and talk you through all of your needed work on the first fitting so you'll know the entire process. Be sure to share any details, such as doing an elaborate dance or being on a soft surface, with your stylist so they can help customize and perfect your gown for you.

• You must bring your wedding shoes and any undergarments you plan to wear to your fittings. You only need to bring items that will be worked on by the seamstress. If your veil doesn’t need alterations, you don’t need to bring it.

• Payment will be due at the end of your first appointment. Bliss Bridal accepts cash or credit card. Your gown alterations will cost from $450 to $650, depending on complexity, for the basic alterations needed. This includes adjustments to the straps or sleeves, bodice, skirt and hemline. The basic alterations also include a 3 point bustle. Additional alterations and services, like custom changes or re-doing work due to body measurement changes, will raise the cost. The $100 deposit paid will apply to the cost of your alterations.

• Should you choose not to do alterations with Bliss Bridal at the end of your first appointment, you will forfeit the $100 deposit paid.

• Any alterations that need to begin and finish within six weeks will require a $95 rush fee.

• Your alterations should require 2-3 fitting appointments. We will schedule your following appointments at the completion of each appointment. If you aren't able to make it to one of your fittings please call the store to reschedule. Please reschedule or cancel within 48 hours to avoid losing the $100 deposit. If you are 15 minutes late to your appointment, the deposit will be forfeited as your appointment would need to be rescheduled. If you don’t bring items like your weddings shoes to the appointment and the seamstress is not able to do your alterations you will have to reschedule, forfeiting your $100 deposit.

• Alterations services at Bliss Bridal are at a high demand, and it’s possible that alternative appointment times are not available should you attempt to reschedule.

• We also have many brides on our waiting lists. If you decide not to do alterations with Bliss Bridal please let us know as soon as possible so we may offer the appointment to another bride.
